I am also getting these calls from this number. The number is listed as being in St. Cloud, Minnesota. I have no idea who "Jefferson Capital" is or whether these people are the ones calling my cell (I'd love to know how they got my cell @ since it isn't listed!) but I ignore all of these calls and do not answer.
320-229-8093 continues to call my cellular number (which isn't listed anywhere) they won't leave a message but if I call back it's Jefferson Capital and they say someone that knows me owes them money as they are a collection agency. They are RUDE and won't give me the "who/what" about it.
Hey~ Just wanted everyone to know that they should file a complaint with the FCC about the phone calls and list the number, this way with more complaints hopefully they will be able to shut these people down!

It is not a fraud or fake it is real collector agency. I did not have a problem with them when called them for help or to be sure its all done as fresh start program with new credit card smile.
You may think you just got a great deal but you need to be very careful with the fine print. Many collection agencies are doing this. They tell you that you owe a bunch of money on a debt that is usually erroneous and past the statute of limitations. Their "fresh start" is to get you to take on a new credit card and transfer the balance they say you owe to a new card with a really high interest rate. It does not help you it trashes your credit even worse. When you try to just pay the bill they say you owe they refuse.
I get insistent and repeated calls from this number too. I have not answered. The name on my caller ID comes up as unknown. it is a recorded computerized call.
