I had the same thing happen 2 times a recorded message that does not identify themselves or the company they represent. The message is threatening and vague. They sound like it is scammers.
This number I was called by people who only answer with their name and I can't even recall him giving me a business name when I called today to ask for a business name so I could ask the Better Business Bureau about them they asked who I was and we refused to give me their business name Im beginning to think this is a fraud they don't have my current address and when I almost called him back to give it to them They answered and was going to transfer me to the guy so that I can give them the proper address I thought better of it and hung up
The first person I talk to was understanding said I should call back at a later time if things change so I could make a payment when I told him my situation second person I call to try and make a face payment was rude would not let me talk and refused to except what I could afford to pay and wanted to set up a payment prepaid payment plan on a debit or credit card only if used to give me address to send the money to today I called and asked them to send me an itemized bill and found out they had did not have my current address which made me wonder if they were legit
Just because someone calls and claims you owe them money does not make it true! Since they have already called you, they should mail you the mandatory dunning letter within five days. If they refuse to send that debt validation letter, do not pay them!
