got a call today; he called 3 times and then left a message. Thick accent, I could hear it was from a call center with several folks in the background calling. He sad my name and cell # and said I was involved in a legal matter, it's a scam.
Got a call on my cell voicemail from a guy with a very thick accent, he stated my social security number. And said about some "very legal actions against you" Of course no mention of what these actions are. I work for a law firm... a tip, when these people call stating legal action and you'll be in trouble, ask what court they are filing in and why haven't you been noticed with written documentation before this, also when they state they are an attorney, ask for their bar number. Watch as they go in circles trying to answer you. It's all a scam, debt collectors who have bought old debts and are trying to get money for them. Never give them a credit card number, merely state "send me written notification of this matter please" and hang up. My ex husband had his credit pulled to get a car a few months ago and all of a sudden I'm getting these kind of calls alot now.
I just a call like that only he said he was an officer and burpted in the phone. I don;t think I spelled that right, but is this legal, I work in a medical office and before a different guy called and said he was a patient just to talk to me. PLease any info would help me.
