got a call today; he called 3 times and then left a message. Thick accent, I could hear it was from a call center with several folks in the background calling. He sad my name and cell # and said I was involved in a legal matter, it's a scam.
It's amazing how many people are getting harassed by these people. I got a call today exactly like what everyone is talking about, guy calls thick indian accent, tells me I owe a debt to EME Marketing LLC, when I started asking questions the guy gets angry tells me I apparently don't want to comply with him and good luck to me. I better get a good lawyer. Confused I called back which made him even angrier! He hung up on me 5 times. So I googled the company EME Marketing and discovered how many complaints there were. Thank you to "lamet" for providing all the information regarding filing a complaint. I am going to do so I have 4-5 different phone numbers that this guy is using hopefully this can be stopped eventually. I don't appreciate being harassed at work especially!
I recieved a voice mail from this guy middle east accent said he was with the US Crimal Investgation Dept he said somebody had used my name as a referance and he did not say who I did not return his phone call 321-323-9928 he said is personal number to call him back on it.I am going to report this to the local BBB and if they think I need to report this to the local police dept then I will.I personably think this is somebody trying to steal my Identy.
I got a call from this number and 424-901-0138. Officer Robert Richmond is the name he used. Very rude and told me to shut up and not say anything until he finish saying what he has to say. He called me at work and my cell phone. I have a direct line which makes it not as bad but it's not cool. He has been harrassing me for over a week and keeps telling me the police will come to my job and home. After I told him I won't get a call to get warned he hung up. I called him back and he got angrier as I told him I'm filing a suit against his company and after I wouldn't give him my address. He only kept saying the last four digits to my social. But if the federal government was after me, they won't have rude Indian men calling. They would just show up. Plus, I never got a pay day loan. I've been checking my accoount. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, he calls me every two weeks and it's on my pay week. I'm going to push forward with this because it's annoying and they need to get in trouble for the harrassment and lies.
So this really is just a scam? I was freaking out when I received a message today from an officer robert richmond saying they were going to take legal action and I could go to jail for a pAyday loan. So I called him back right away and I couldn't really understant what he was saying....and I told him I would call him back tomorrow to resolve the matter because I was at work at the moment, but I just felt like there was something sketchy. Its just scary that they have so much personal info.
