I really like the idea presented by mk & since I used to deal with IRATE cx's as my day job, I really know how to fool someone into thinking I feel 1 way, while I actually feel another! These [***] call me daily. I live in Ontario & usually get a call from them by 10:15 am E.S.T. Since I am off tomorrow, I am going to take mk`s advice & string these fools along. In fact since I only work 3 nights a week (damn recession...Anyone hiring..LOL) I am going to do this DAILY & see what sort of records I can break, as far as how long I can keep THEM on the line! I dunno what they have for a long distance company, but Instead of wasting my energy getting angry at these dumb [***], I will attempt to turn the tables, & have some FUN with it! I wish I would have thought of this or read MK`s post earlier, as the idiots JUST CALLED...Hence the reason I am here right now! I dunno if you guys are in a similar situation as me (alot of free time ``UNWANTED``), but if we can get enough of us to do what I am going to do, it would accomplish 2 things at least. 1)We get some FREE ENTERTAINMENT & 2)By keeping someone on the line with us, we are preventing them from calling someone else during our time on the phone with them, like an elderly person, who doesn`t know better & could get scammed! So if ya have the time, have some FUN! Turn the tables on these jerkoffs!
Another telemarketing number that has been calling me and not leaving a message. Today I was home. I got a recording from a female voice says name is Jessica and they are calling about your credit care interest rates that they can lower. If you press 1 you go through to an operator there. I asked what bank they were calling from and they said that I pressed 1 and was interested in their services and asked if I had a visa or mastercard. I said yes and asked which bank that has my cards were they calling from. They just put you on mute and if you don't hang up after 2 mins or so they disconnect you. I have been getting a ridiculous amount of calls from various telemarketing firms lately so I am now going on the offensive with them and questioning them until they remove me from their call lists or hang up on me. Give it a try...it can be fun!
I've been getting calls from this number for months. The first call was rather alarming at first, and now I'm simply annoyed. I've pressed 3 to be removed from their list; I've pressed 1 on several occasions and asked the person to remove me from their list, and each time they immediately disconnect. The name given is "Cardholder Services."
