How will that help when the callers are obvious lawbreakers most likely from an out of country call center in Asia or Eastern Europe? The DNC list only works for legitmate US businesses who obey the law. The government has successfully won multi-million dollar judgements against some of these creeps but they consider the fines just a cost of doing business and go right back to doing what they are doing. Some of them are almost impossible to track with the use of caller ID spoofing and Internet phone service. It still pays to report them since as I said above, they have successfully sued them and won judgemetns in the past.
Just a spoofed number which showed up as 'FLORIDA' on CID. It's the same ''gal'' that used to call herself 'Amy' on previous spoof calls. This time she doesn't even give a tollfree number to call back to. The call is geared only to those who actually answer the call. (press 1 to speak to a representative, or press 3 to be removed from our list). I let the ans mach take the call for me. And now I will let my call blocker take care of any future calls from this number. Even if the call comes in again, it won't be able to ring my phone-ever. Isn't technology WONDERFUL????
I have received three of these calls in the last week and many more in the past few weeks. "Rachael" indicated to press 3 if I did not want to receive these calls, which I did, but they still keep coming in.
Caller ID said "Florida". Don't know anyone there, so didn't answer. They hung up after only 3 rings. My call blocking service will only allow me to put 25 numbers on the list. As often as these losers change numbers, that's pretty ineffective. I need infinite call blocking capability!
