Some of these calls will say dial 1 to talk to a representative , or 9 to be deleted from the call list. Have any of you with an answering machine ever hit 9 when talking? It will save the damn message. Please don't fall for this scam. You can also tell the scammers you live in a nursing home and you will get your nurse to find out if the nursing home is interested. Scammer will hang up because they know you have no money, no property, etc, You might want to keep them on the line before you say you live in a nursing home and say you are lonely and just want to talk. I f someone wants your debit card number, or credit card number, tell them you need to find it and ask them for their name and phone number for you to call them back. They will usually hang up.
If all else fails, get a panasonic answering phone and block these callers. . In Iowa, starting next month ,callers get a fine if the one being called don't give written permission for them to call. Governor and Attorney General kept getting calls. I guess they got tired of it too, People also kept complaining about being called all the time. Please contact your attorney general with every unwanted call.
I pressed one, and when they came on live, I said I wanted them to witness my suicide. I blew up a paper bag, popped it, then dropped the phone. It took over 5 minutes for them to disconnect. They kept saying, "hello? hello????"
