6:18pm Eastern: I've gotten calls like this several times before. "Please stay on the line for a poll-taker. Just a few more questions." which, on my answering machine, repeats several times before it hangs up. This one is from a male voice.

Called asking if we wanted to sell our timeshare.  We do not have a timeshare. Asked where she got our number, she said from flamingo bay resort. As I tried to get more information, the lady caller hung up on me. Tried to call the caller ID number and got a"not in service" message.

I've gotten many calls from this number, with some of the same messages as others have mentioned.  I usually don't answer, but today I decided to answer and tell them not to call me anymore.  The woman said, "so far you are the only person in this conference.' then nothing.  I called back immediately to tell them never to call again and I got a message saying that this number was no longer in service.

Advance Services called from California 323-244-2134. A Charlie (female) Burrden.  Spelt with 2 n's on the phone but on 1 in her GMAIL address. Said she would rent my Time share for 3500 +750 for maint. Then a long convoluted story on how was the best way to go through the exchange to get the rental ,of course that is through them at a cost of $199. I told her I could rent it directly at no cost through my 2ndary exchange group. Then she wanted to know how many weeks we had.     She kept going back to me giving her a CC to include Walmart to charge 199.  I told her it sounded like a scam and then she said no and provided me with her contact number.  I said her contact info would not help me get my money back if it was not legit, so she said she would send the rental agreement I copied below. She then said she would call me back after I looked at the rental agreement.  This gave me time to research and look what I found. Also, on the phone though she said the dates were for Jan and on the contract they show for Nov.  She also had us owning in the wrong resort too. When she called back I politely said I was not interested. She said I could call her back if I changed my mind - not.   Got the exact same contract for the same group as above, just the dates are changed.  Thanks  to everyone for writing in.  I didn't fall for it.

POLICIES AND PAYMENT
DAMAGE DEPOSIT:
As is customary in the lodging industry, the Renter will need to provide a credit card upon the
completion of the reservation and or exchange damages/loss/incidental charges deposit. The Renter is
responsible for any issues in this area (other than normal wear and tear) to the unit or its contents that
may arise during their stay, either payable directly to the Resort or
Secondarily to the Owner if subsequently billed for damages or missing inventory from the unit. These
things are so rarely a problem, but Renter needs to be aware that timeshare vacation condo Owners and
their Renters/Guests are directly responsible for damages to a unit or missing condo inventory of
supplies, furnishings, towels, etc.
ADDITIONAL MANDATORY FEES CHARGED BY RESORT TO RENTERS:
(i.e A/C or other utility surcharges, room safe, parking, pets, local government occupancy tax, etc.)
All the additional charges for on the resort will be shouldered by the reservation company Advance
Services and the Owner will not be liable to any charges that will take place on the resort.

By the Renter to someone else is permitted. Renter will be entitled to use all of the resort’s amenities

As if the Owner were using the unit (unless otherwise specified), and is expected to abide by all of the
Resort’s
Policies while enjoying their stay.
