I told him those checks had been stolen and I I had been cleared of any liability. I hung up on them. Now, when I get a call from a number I do not recognize I allow it goto voice mail and then check it. O
f course, the scammer is not going to leave a V.M.
Called on my cell phone several times over the past few days. I never answered since I did not recognize the number. No message left. Will block this number but fully expect them to call from a different number. Arrrrggghhh!

Got a call from this number and stated i had return item from bank and credtor and warrent was to be issued press 1. Press 1 and the phone only rang. Hung up and called them back and they stated had return check from 1995 and was not paid. Scammer
The scam artists, Data Check of America/Nevada, have a new number folks. Just ignore it, get a good call blocker and don't even acknowledge these idiots. They claim you bounced a check anywhere from 7-20 years ago and you have to pay now or they will garnish your wages. Most times the bank the check was written on no longer exists. The company they claim the check was written to may or may not still be in business. These are the worst kind of crooks and they call from numbers all over the country. Do not even acknowledge them. Do not call them back or answer their calls. They are NOT a legitimate debt collector and, even if the debt was at one time legit, it is now past the statute of limitations so they can no longer do anything to you to collect regardless of their claims. There is a website for a Data Check of America that has a "consumer alert" on it....DO NOT fall for this. These are the same people, trying to get you to call through another way while pretending to be a "legitimate" business whose name has been hijacked by these crooks. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!
