I got a call from this number today. When I called it back, the recording said "donor services" or something (couldn't understand it too well)....it then went on to say it was the ASPCA. I give a monthly donation of $25, but at Christmas time, I think they try to get more donations to save more animals, which is fine with me as I am not only an animal lover, but an advocate and networker for animals too.
So if they are so legit, why hide your association's name from the caller ID data? Got another call today from "Los Angeles Ca" with no message left. Smacks of SCAM to me! Just another phony number to block from my house phone.
The CID shows ASPCA with the number 323-325-9122. I never answer it and the caller never leave a message. Since it's a Los Angeles area code, I assume the caller is not from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
