This number has called once a day, at different times, for the last week, sometimes twice, or three times a day! I answered once, realized that it was a sales call and hung up.
I also donate to Greenpeace, that is, Greenpeace International, and they're awesome. This year, however, I gave to Greenpeace USA by mistake, and this number has called me several times since. I've never answered, but the number keeps calling every other week or so. I emailed Greenpeace USA to remove me from all of their contact lists. They said they did, but the number keeps calling. The area code is in Los Angeles, CA, although Greenpeace USA is in Washington, DC. I wonder if it's really Greenpeace USA making those calls?
I've received 2 calls that went to voice mail from this number. It makes sense that it's greenpeace because I used to be a member but i just canceled my credit card so they're probably wondering what happened to their donation.
the information here has been very helpful. I've been getting this call for a whole week now, daily. I never knew who it was so I never picked up. I guess I'll try calling them to ask to not call again. Thanks everyone for posting!
I was so glad to read your message and that of others. This number has been calling my cell on and off for 3 weeks..same thing..at all diferent times. I actually answered it three nights ago and when I said "hello", they stayed on the line and then hung up. It didn't seem to be sales call and definately not automated, but I too, contribute to Greenpeace. Since answering the phone, I am now getting called every day. I will do what others did and inform Greeenpeace as well as ask to be removed.
