I have been receiving random automated calls from several LA/Hollywood area codes in the past several weeks, after donating to Greenpeace for the first time. The first number (310-444-2679) would repeatedly call me and then hang up when I answered. Calling the number back just gave me a random-sounding voicemail message. I blocked the number through Verizon. Then after a few days I started getting calls from a second, similar number (323-330-1425) which was really irritating. After a few calls I tried calling back, and I got a really nice woman who quite pleasantly apologized for the inconvenience and said she would take me off the contact list. She said that they do call on behalf of Greenpeace. Hopefully this works and they take me off the list!
I've been having trouble with this number, too! I called them back and I got a human Greenpeace representative after a few minutes of being on hold. I asked to be taken off of the calling list .. I guess we'll see in the next couple of days if it worked.
I also have been receiving calls from this number. It started about a week ago, and they have called me twice but left no messages. From the other posts I can see it is Greenpeace, which I am a member of, but will certainly cancel soon. I signed up in San Francisco, however I don't live there any more. Thanks for all of these posts, they were very helpful.
It's Greenpeace. They said they wanted to ask if I can donate more.
I told them I would like to be taken off, and they gave me this number to call.
