Scammers. Use different names (usually american) when they are in fact from India or Pakistan. Different throw away numbers (cell phones, magic jack, skype, gtalk, etc. Different types of scam attempts. Usually is same guy but other guys and a female will call too. Do not believe anyone. Do not give in to their demands. they are full of crap only and can do NOTHING to you. Just a bug that needs to be swatted since they are relentless and will keep harassing even though they know they will get nothing from you. Total dumbasses. Guess they like wasting their time.
This company called me 5 times in 2 hours. Claiming that it is a Fraud in my social Security number and that I need to call them back with my full number and my info to prove that I and the Real Alice. The name of the Company can not be google. and the number Doesn't exist. Watch yourself.
Caller said he was from the Federal Restitution Department. When I asked him what branch of the Government this department fell under, he could not tell me. Then I asked him for a phone number to the Federal Government where I could verify this department. He gave me the number to the FBI in New York. I spoke with the FBI in New York and they stated that there was no such department and to block all calls of this nature. In addition, it is against federal consumer protection laws for them to misrepresent themselves as any federal, state, or local government law enforcement officer or employee.
Scammers. Use multiple scam attempts. Same guys, different names, different numbers. Do not believe anything these guys claim. They are so full of themselves its pitiful. Known scams they have tried with me:
1. Pay day loan scams, pretending they are a law firm. (yeah right, sure you are!)
2. Grant Scam: The government has approved you a grant and all you need to do is send money to get it. (Lame as hell, There are NO charges when it comes to grants, Morons!)
3. Technical Support. They cold call claiming you have viruses on your computer and they need access to your computer remotely to fix, then charge you for a "fake" warranty so they can protect your computer. In the meantime they have access to your computer, your bank info, credit info and any other personal information. Plus they will crash your computer just for the hell of it. ( Get a life [***])
4. You've been approved! You have been approved for a loan. usually a high amount. rarely low amount. Just to get you to provide personal info and bank info. Then guess what THEY HAVE YOUR IDENTITY! (such scum suckers arent they?!)
they are relentless and do not give up even though they know you are not going to fall for their scam. (total dumbasses who have nothing better to do than waste their time)
