Well they called again! These people just don't give up. Says he is from Windows Technical Dept. Ask his name and he said Peter Anderson. I asked where he is and he said San Francisco. I asked his phone number (altho it was on caller ID) and he told me he didn't have a phone. I said...oh really, then how are you calling me? I started to laugh and he said....what are you laughing about? I said.....I don't even own a computer. He said......don't laugh, this is my job. I told him to get a new job and hung up. Heavy accent and no way was his name Peter Anderson. I am reporting it to https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
These people are relentless
11/25 14:28 PST Only ID = phone #, rolled over to voicemail. Robo voice saying Good-by. Tried returning call. Claims to be an opportunity to win a Wahlmart gift card.
Received a call from this number about 10 minutes ago and the guy had a thick accent stating he was calling from microsoft, my computer had a virus and I needed to turn on my computer. Informed him I ran a security scan/ check with my own protective services yesterday and my computer was clean. He wanted to argue with me that my security apps might be what's causing the problem. I forcibly told him I was not going to turn on my computer and that he needed to remove me from his call list. He replied " As you wish maam" and I hung up on him. This is not the first time I have gotten a call from a number of similar configuration. Also received several from 323-489-7475. Those I chose to ignore and they never left a message.
I knew of this call number--picked it up and told them to go [***] themselves--somebody mumbled and hung up--doubt if they are dumb enough to call back
