The same just happened to me, checking my Wells Fargo online account, and purchase for $7.98 from a SELECT DESIGN ART in CA with the phone # 323-529-8521, I am going to call my bank. I also tried the number and received a busy signal.
I received a charge for $1.98 on my VISA card from Select Design Art from Laguna Hills, CA. I did not authorize it and contacted my bank. They gave me the phone number 323-529-8521. This was the number for an attorney-at-law that only gets paid if you win....big scam! It repeated the message and since I didn't press 1, hung up on me.
I never received a call from this number... Instead, Select Design Art showed up on my online transaction history with this number posted beside the name, (0323-529-8521.)
They took $4.98 from my Chase account. I filed a dispute just now... schemers! --But, at least I know I'm not the only one thanks to Google and online banking..
Same issue as ivy above, except mine occurred 9/25/09, i called bank of america and told me to call the number first otherwise they would not do anything ..
