The same just happened to me, checking my Wells Fargo online account, and purchase for $7.98 from a SELECT DESIGN ART in CA with the phone # 323-529-8521, I am going to call my bank. I also tried the number and received a busy signal.
Was billed 4.98 from this company-attempted to call-no answer-when it did it was an answering phone for an attorneys office-I contacted the fraud Dept of my bank for an investigation.
I just found this on my account. However, no phone number. After calling the bank they advised me that this is probably a charge scheme and they test the account one month with a small amount to see if it is active. Then they try again the following month with a much larger amount. I cancelled my card.
OMG...I just had the same thing happen to me! I saw an unautorized charge for $4.98 on my bank account online and immediately called about it. They said the merchant was "Select Design Art" and that it was a computer software company. They gave me the phone number and I got a busy signal. I just called the bank back and had them cancel my card. Whew! I feel better now! Hope no one else gets scammed like this!!
