robocall from "Breast Cancer Research" to my private unlisted do-not-call mobile number that has never been shared with ANY organization. Asked for me by my first name. I said I was not that individual, and the robot then went into a spiel on breast cancer research while I explained simultaneously my displeasure at being called on my private unlisted number. The robot did not listen to me so I hung up and blocked the number.
It is a third party call center hired by non-profit orgs to ask u to renew your pledges, donations etc. it isn't a scam. It is a business. That is how they have your name and number. It is cheaper to hire a third party then to hire staff to do this work. It's a cost savings which should make donors happy.
So you think that it is OK for a bunch of low life's to just call and harass people? You do know that 90% of the money goes in their pocket and not the "charity", assuming the "charity" even exists.
You need to mind your own business. Why are you even here? If you are so happy getting these calls, why did you look up the number?
