robocall from "Breast Cancer Research" to my private unlisted do-not-call mobile number that has never been shared with ANY organization. Asked for me by my first name. I said I was not that individual, and the robot then went into a spiel on breast cancer research while I explained simultaneously my displeasure at being called on my private unlisted number. The robot did not listen to me so I hung up and blocked the number.
Answered - person asked for my husband - I said he was unavailable - she said "We're calling for either one of you." Then proceeded to tell me she was calling from some cancer related charity asking for donations for women who cannot afford treatment....I call major BS.
And oddly they usually say they are wanting to renew your donation to an organization you never previously donated to. But they pay on people who donate and don't immediately remember who to.
Called my cell phone during work hours. No one on the line when I answered. I said "Hello?" several times and as I was hanging up I heard someone begin to speak. Too late. After checking here, I see it's a spam call. Glad I hung up before they got into their spiel.
