Received a call from this number early this morning. They left a very garbled voicemail and all you heard was something about a conviction and trial. They said I owed the IRS $5,000 and that if I did not pay it right away that they would have a Marshall come to my home, arrest me and take me to Washington. Two males with an accent and very aggressive. They advised me not to tell anyone about this debt and even asked if I had a criminal lawyer!! I almost fell for it but when I spoke to my accountant he actually laughed and said it was a scam.
This is the same automated call from a robo thug that has called my number also using a different number. It says its calling for some Federal [***]. Sounds like a foreign thug.
I just received the same voice mail message but could not understand all of it as it was garbled. But same thing, call them back to avoid grand jury, federal prosecution. I won't be calling back.
Went to my answering machine, said it was a call from Los Angeles. Obviously a scam call. Something about cooperating, a grand jury, a federal investigation etc. etc. Mostly garbled and hard to understand.
Calls from 323 729 3662 and 323 729 3660 Los Angeles CA- says US Treasury. I asked what government branch? I asked for ID number?. The more questions I asked, the more threatening and abusive the person became. Information made no sense. Sounded like person was from India. This is a scam.
I got the same call this morning and did the same thing, wierd thing was i asked for what imformation they had on me and if there was a case number . i offered to pay (which i wasnt) and they didnt seem to want money, more so if my information was current, they only gave one option
