I got tired of these calls so I put a whistle on my table by my chair. Then when I got one of these calls I would grab the whistle and blow it as hard as I could. I've had some that never got the idea and just kept on with their spiel. So now I just don't answer calls I don't recognize. I've placed all my phone #'s on the "Do Not Call List" but that doesn't seem to matter to any of these con artists. I have answered some and played with them, and if I can't understand the person I say so and hang up, then immediately place that number on my block list. I was getting calls from overseas so I contacted my provider and they put up a block of those numbers for me. I still got a few calls right after that but it would only ring twice then stop. Now I don't receive them at all. What a lot of these con artists are doing is routing their calls through a U.S. server, so it can look like the call is being made from a U.S. # or possibly even a local area code, which makes you believe its someone you might know and thus answer it. They use all kinds of tricks to try and fool you so beware. BTW I got a call from this number today, 5/19/16. I didn't answer, no voicemail, so they go on the block list.
These IDIOTS have called me 17 times in 2 hours today from a different number each time. I can't block any more numbers because I've reached the limit. Someone in law enforcement should be able to stop this BS!
A scam for sure...foreign IDIOTS! 5163583686, 6303184762, 3237413873, 9152430390, 8622312552 and 6 RESTRICTED NUMBERS along with my own! Seriously...they made my picture pop up on my phone with my phone number calling my self. GO SCREW YOURSELF...I'M NOT ANSWERING!
Well guys, apparently I have a law suit/arrest warrant against me because this recording on my said so.. (Robot btw).. First VM said FLORIDA, One hour later said to call WASHINGTON.. lol help me.. Eyes scurrred.. (Sarcasm) lol
When they first called they told me that i was approved for a Gov. Grant loan and that i didnt have to pay it back and continues to tell me that the reason i was getting it was because i took a survey and got accepted but then when i asked again a few moments later how i got approved for it they told me that it was because i pay my taxes on time and that i havent filed for bankruptcy. I told them no thank you that i didnt want it because i didnt recall doing any type of survey for any type of loan and when i continued to deny the offer the man that was on the phone said and i quote "Oh my god just get a pen and paper for the verification" and when i denied the offer again he hung up. They continue to call after I tell them I don't want what ever they are offering so they continue to question me about why and when I continue to tell them I don't want what ever it is because i dont need it they get an attitude and hang up but call right back a few hours later.
Have received calls from this number twice within the past week. When I answer, it's a computerized voice saying the call is from Bank of America and my card has been lost, so please press 1 to be connected to a representative. This is obviously a scam call because I do not have any accounts of any type with BofA! And these calls are to my cell phone number, which is NOT the number I have on record with any financial or utility accounts -- just used for personal and my freelance business -- so not sure where they are getting the number.
