Was called by this number requesting a call back by an attorney or myself. They claimed to represent the IRS but I suspect it is a fraud/scam because when I called, the person at the other end tried to extract personal information from me.
They have bogus names with 'officer' preceeding the names.
Automated Message was left- claiming to be the IRS. Told me or my attorney to call back. They claimed it was an urgent matter and if I did not call back they would have to take further action. This is the fraudulent IRS phone call. If you answer this call do not give anyone your personal information- the IRS does not contact people by phone. The IRS will send you a letter or certified letter in the mail if they want to contact you.
This phone call and seem to be legit at first but as soon as I told the guy I was a lesbian he started asking me all sorts of perverted questions and told me to go to my neighbors house and sell my body for $500
I got this call no less than 6 times. I called the number and got a male foreigner on the phone. I told them to take my name and number of off their calling list. He said he would do that immediately. We'll just see about that. What else can I do to get this SCAM shut down?
Got the same one, Agent Niki Johnson of the IRS. Suspicious when they don't say: this call is for [your name]. Plus, true that if the IRS has your number, they're going to send you a letter first. Unfortunately, there are a lot of gullible people out there.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
