I, as many others received the same call from this phone number. An Indian man (very strong accent & lots of noise in the back round) posing as a Comcast employee. Offering to send me a $100.00 gift card and berry supplements via UPS mail if I gave him my credit card info. I found it very weird only because I had just got off the phone with Comcast about 30 mins prior to this call, but I also knew Comcast or any company would NEVER make an outgoing call in regards to giving anything! Especially a $100.00 gift card for being a loyal customer! YEAH RIGHT!!
I told the man I was not interested in his scam and to also not call me again.
Repeated calls for this company. I googled the number and found posts about as being some sort of marketing or scam/fraud or just plain phishing for my personal financial information. As matter of rule I never give out any personal information unless I know it's legit and I sought out the particular company. Legit companies will not be asking for bank accounts, SSN, or even address or last names right off the bat. A dead give away is when you ask for particulars about the company that called you. Such things as where they got your phone number, headquarters location, websites and so on to be able to verify that information. Almost always they will hang up on you.
After reviewing all comments list here, it is funny that this guy is using the same way to cheating the people. I did receive the call from them and the India guy who said his name is Alex coming from Comcast and he told me his Comcast ID as well. I was told I got a $100 gift card and another additional gift and all I need to do is to pay 9.99 UPS fee. I asked him to use my Comcast account which already have my information but this guy said no due to they are different department which let me realize it is a trick. I told him I reject and do not want to accept any gift card then the guy said it is your choice then hang off the call.
