Just got the same thing. My text says "Hi, how are you doing today my name is Patricia..do you offer photography service also do you accept credit cards?"
1) Why would you TEXT someone if you're asking for services?
2) Literally the worst grammatical/punctiation errors on the planet. I wouldn't want to work with an idiot any way.
3) Thanks for the original post, glad I looked up the number before replying!
Got a text from "Patricia Melvin" at +1 (323) 985-3582 on 2015/04/18 claiming to want to hire me for web design (also asking if I took credit cards). Texter claimed to be deaf, representing a Florida company, with a bit of a weird resaon why they are texting from an LA number. I've been stringing them along for a bit to waste their time, since I see that a web search of "Patricia Melvin" turns up a number of such questionable interactions:
Them: This is patricia melvin I am hearing impaired, can you handle website design for new company and do you accept credit card payment?
Me: Sure, Where are you located? Our LA office may be able to meet your needs. What is your TTY number?

Them: i am currently in the hospital for cancer treatment.
Same here! Def won't be doing business with her. I never have prospective clients text my cell phone, so this really seemed odd to me. I haven't responded to her at all yet, maybe I should string them along with similar lines and see what happens :)
