This totally just happened to me. My cousin called me saying that someone called him telling him my name apparently and that I was finally coming home to bring my son to visit all the family for the first time. Thing is, I haven't seen or spoken to my cousin in 25 years. He said the caller didn't ask for money, she was just letting him know she was on her way. When he tried to call her back, there was no answer. I live several states away from this group of family. I have no idea who called and how she had my name. I'm hoping my cousin misunderstood that part. The phone number that came up is the one listed on this site.
This number is one of those phone scams where they call you and say they are a relative from Mexico. The guy only spoke Spanish was asking me to guess who, was fishing for info. When I asked him to give me a first name, he kept saying we had same last name, he gave me a name of no relative I have. I told him this and he hung up. Have several missd calls on caller ID from this scammer!
My mom just got this call from this # calming he was a nephew that was in Mexico saying hello aunt do u know who I'm I ??? Making story short after my mom asked for his # he hanged up. She didn't even know she was getting a phony call which I caught it was weird to me when I heard her talk to this scammer!
Just had the same call with a guy that spoke spanish. I have no idea how he obtained my number. He was fishing for information. He keep saying he was coming to toronto. Crazy scammers
