BEWARE!! This is a SCAM!!! My poor daughter trying to pay for college almost fell prey to these idiots!!!
DO NOT TRY TO CASH A CHECK FROM THEM! Our call was from "Patricia Foley" for dog sitting, just moving into our area, blah blah blah
ALL LIES. Thank GOD my daughter doesn't have the funds to even remotely cover this FAKE check anyway.
The check is from TEAM ESCROW in CA however, the check itself is mailed from FL...HMMM NOT TOO SUSPICIOUS

I am sending you a check by USPS. Please deposit in your bank and keep $300 for your first week's pay. ( This scammer solicited me for pet care services) . I received a text after several emails......I have the check.....The bank it is written on tells me it is fake. Person claims to be a woman named Victoria Cullen, husband named Peter. She is pregnant, they are moving to my area and have pets......"she" even named them. I knew this was a scam when she wanted me to send money to someone else. I am keeping the check to turn over to authorities. This person has my phone number, address, full name and email. I am worried that they will try to steal my identity. As far as I know they don't have my social security number or bank account numbers. Please help me find out who this scammer is.
What information does she have? If only contact information, that is one problem. The crooks will keep in contact with you and try to trick you into a phony check scam. The scam described is about getting you to deposit a bad/phony check, and then sending cash or Western Union transfers back to the scammer. This scam is usually played as a mail scam from a distance, very often from outside the USA.
If you sent your ss# and date of birth and any banking or credit card info, that is much more serious since you have provided a crook with info to do some some identity theft.

I got the same thing exempt her name is Pauline Morris now. She has a 3 year o k D not named curtis. Her husband's name is still peter. They sent me a check for 2 thousand dollars for groceries and stuff for the apartment
