I got a 911 call which scared me to death as they area code they used was NC where my daughter lives. 336 505 7092. The guy left a completely garbled message (but left the callback number clearly!). There is an India like vm attached that says it's fthe Federal State Bureau of NC. The really bad part is I was so scared I left them my cell number to return my call ASAP....as I thought it was a 911 call related to my daugher. Now the jerks will be calling my cell or worse.
They have been calling me for the past 5 day telling me to pay them money or they will come and arrest me they wont give me any infomation and refuse to give me there name
I received a phone call from this number. The persons represented themselves as being with an agency that dealt with loans on the internet. They were difficult to understand and I believe that they were from India. They gave American names. They said that they would have me arrested but I do not believe that this is possible as I have done nothing wrong. They contended that I had received a loan and owned them money. I never received any money from them.
Yes, I did. They claimed that I owed them money that they loaned me off an internet site. I never received any money from them. They said they would have me arrested and were quite intimidating.
How do we stop this personal intrusion into our lives?
DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY. Get a name and call back number and call the police. If they threaten the cops then they usually call back from 911 impersonating an officer. Get a number, call police, and file an impersonating an officer report. They talk too fast so that it worries you. Remain calm. Elevated speech increases the threats. They are trained to do this. Also, immediately contact the Credit bureaus and put a fraud alert on your credit. The FTC, Attorney General in North Carolina and Texas are all aware of this. Please help stop these people!!!
