Next, ask good old emily if she'll go with you, Dutch of course, but start talking as if you too one of Mother's Little Helpers (Stones, 1966) about your terrible money situation and ask if you could borrow some money from her so that you mnight *take* this wonderful trip, promising to pay her back which you will do by gambling in Vegas when you return, babbling *coherently* (think Molly Bloom's, stream of consciousness thought process in the last many pages of James Joyce's ,Ulysses) not coming up for air mentioning all the people you'll meet (think "Love Boat"). Pause, then, one by one start making audible lists of all the stuff you'll want to bring (think "George Carlin's "Stuff" routine). If you still have Emily on the phone, she won't be calling you again. Of course, I'm only joking. tho when I was in my 20's I actually had a sex offender who kept calling and hanging up eventually hang up on me when I began to "fight back" .(I was frightened but he didn't know it).
They called work phone today. Emily asking for the owner. When I ask her if she was a "real person", she/it said: "Sounds like you're not interested; Your number will be added to our do not call list." We shall see.
This number shows up on our home phone caller ID repeatedly over the last couple of months. Caller ID says Alt Finance Serv. We only have a landline for the Internet, so voicemail is only checked once a month or so. No voicemail left but they keep calling.
