Warns that the IRS is filing a lawsuite against you. Called me twice yesterday. Once today. Robo call. Threatens so called "final" notice. AN IRS advocate told me that this is wide spread scam. The IRS doesn't make these kinds of phone calls.
When they call, if you want to fluck with them, ask them, "You're from the IRS, huh? Okay here's some validation questions. First, who is your boss, the IRS Commissioner (Answer: John Koskinin), and who is the overall boss, the Secretary of the Treasury (Answer: Jack Lew). You MUST know your bosses if you're for real".
Bet a gabillion bucks, they stammer and hang up! :-)
Beware this a scam Google IRS phone scams and see how it works there are Ina call center Ina diffent country looking for victims to scam. I got a call saying was my final notice lawsuit vs me I knew it was a scam I called back just to see what they said and wow they even answer IRS officer something they told me I owe 4500 if I don't pay them I will be going to jail a warrant plus a lawsuit vs me red flags and they would freeze my stuff they wanted me to do drive to the bank while they stay on hold on my cell phone and they said if I hang the cops will be on there way what a joke he ask if I have lawyer read me all these fake charges a whole script trying make me scared even had a fake clam number and a fake badge number I told him it was scam and he got mad so I wasted a hour there time I reported this I hope others will report them 1800 366 4484. I don't want to see nobody fall for this scam warn others and even call the cops or FBI they can even make a number show up on your caller ID they are looking anybody they can lie to to mostly older people fight back .scam call
Bogus IRS Scam. File a complaint with the FCC, if they get enough complaints, they will act on it. The Do-Not-Call list is worthless. Complaining on here accomplishes nothing, you have to take action!

I received a message this past Friday, November 6th at 3:44 pm from a robo call claiming to be the IRS. The call was made to my home phone number.
The message was as follows, "This call is officially a final notice from the IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason for this call is to inform you the IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately at 346-971-6231".
I realize this is a total scam as the IRS would never leave such a message over the phone but wanted to document my experience online for others to see. I've filed complaints with both the FCC and my state's Attorney General's office.
