i got a call for one of my friends..they said that there is 3 cases in his name and social. What happened is my buddy applied for a payday loan..it was on a website that was a scam. they got his social off the website and started calling him. He never recieved the loan. Theyre a bunch of sand [***] and none of them speak english well
Got a call today at work from a Hugo Jackson. He was unreceptive and did not seem to understand when I told him that it is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act to call me at work if I ask him not to. Heavy Eastern accent and difficult to understand. Turns out when I called back after work they couldn't find my information-but, they also had the name of one of my coworkers. Eventually, they did find my information......same legal threats and they claim that I owe Cash Advance or something. I asked them to send everything in writing. Offerred my current address, and he said he didn't need that-"I have that information." Bet I NEVER see a word from them in writing. When I called back I asked to speak to the supervisor. Same guy said "that's me", but then gave me a different name. This says SCAM, SCAM, SCAM all over it.......won't be sending them a dime!!! Will be reporting them to all appropriate authorities if they attempt to call me ever again. Obviously a very new call center in another country, as all the complaints about this company have occurred within the past 3 weeks.
Got a call moments ago from a man with an accent so thick I could cut it! I could barely understand what the heck he was saying because there was so much static and background noise like he was in a boiler room; caller ID said "261". Left an incoherent message about calling from some law investigation department of Public Credit Services, about my social security number and having me or my counsel lawyer contact him. If I owed "PCS" money (which I don't) I sure haven't received it in writing, and if' it's that important, you'll find me by a means other than my cell phone.
Got a call from 89150774124 (this is what showed up on my caller ID) I ignored the call and had it go to my voice mail. Some guy saying that he was David cooper and that my lawyer or I had better contact him back immediately. If I ignored the phone call, he wished me the best of luck in the events as they unfolded. I was super agitated and even had my husband listen to the voicemail. I googled the number he left for me to call back and it came up with this - He didn't leave his company name, or what it was concerning. And after seeing all these posts above I'm loathed to call them back just to see what they on earth is going on.
This is stupid and frustrating! I hate dumb things like this.
I received a call from 5084751922 (caller ID). The caller was Sean Johnson asking to speak to my friend Lisa (who lives in Arkansasa), Told him that there is no way I can have her talk to him since I live in San Francisco (LOL) Told him that the only way to contact her is via phone and I will leave a mesage for her to call him (left his number ias 347-267-0833) I got suspicious when he said it was regarding a legal matter. I am going to tell my friend that this is a scam.. and not to call back.
I just received 2 calls within a matter of 15 minutes at my employment. The person calling had an accent and was not easy to understand and left the number 347-269-0833 as the call back number. He stated there were three legal matters coming up on my SS# that needed my attention and if I didn't respond could ruin my life as I know it including my credit and employment. I immediately googled the Company name and found a link for the same number. I have all my paers and proof of payment, so I am quite sure this is scam and will not respond. If harassment continues I will pursue a lawsuit, myself.
