I got a call today (3/8/13) from guy with a thick dialect...maybe Indian...but the number was "unknown." This was my second call, the other one was yesterday from a woman with a thick dialect. I gave both of them a really hard time because I knew it was a scam! I finally told the guy today that I thought this was a scam and would he remove my name from their call list...which he said he would do (yeah! right!). It really throws them off when you interrupt their "script" to ask questions. I do this about a minute and hang up.
Man with Indian accent called and told me that their company received an error message from my computer - it was about to crash! He advised me to go to my computer, which I did. Then he told me to go on the internet to certain places. His company was supposed to clean up and protect my computer. His name was Patrick Jones. When I saw someone controlling my computer, I turned it off. This person said that I would be charged $54.00 for this service. When I said I didn't want the service, he said that I had no options! I now can't get into My Space and I lost my bookmarks. I am going to have someone come over to help me figure out what these scam artists did to my computer and how I can get it back to normal.
A friend recieved a second call from this number yesterday ( March 15th). The first call that he previously recieved, they wanted him to get into his security settings. Thank goodness that he decided he wasn't comfortable doing this...

When I got suspicious and asked him what will happen to my computer he got angry and very controlling and demanding I put him on hold and he waited maybe 5 minutes I then bang down the phone on him and want on to scam someone else!
Claims to be on 15 Buffalo Street in NY. I did not check it.
today they called They had my name right and said they had gotten reports from my computor.(?) He said was clicking "send Error" messages. RED FLAG No errors here. I told Man with Indian accent no, he said isnt your computor running slow? I said no, it's fine. He said dont you go on (I think he said MY SPACE, or FACE BOOK I dont remember which one) No I answered him. I asked around int the house and noone was having problems so we took his phone number from him and said we will call if we have any problems and hung up. All to fishy. My advice just hang up dont even waist any of your time
