recording said to call this number to resolve an important legal issue. When I called the number the person said he was and agent with the Treasury Department and he had my address and family members names. Asked if I had a lawyer and that I needed to answer some questions. when i said i would need to see something in writing he said Federal agents would be at my house in 45 minutes to serve me with an arrest warrant as I was named in this legal matter. I don't know how these guys can impersonate Federal agents and make threats. Seems like they could be discovered and shut down quickly.
I got 3 calls in one day in roughly a 5 hour period. All saying the same thing "Call this number right away to discuss legal issues." Which I know I don't have nor anyone else in my household.
Austin Hall from Dept. of Legal Affairs saying there is a legal problem (something like that) that me or my husband need to call right away. He had a heavy accent, sounds like Indian accent.
Got two messages from this number right in a row. I knew it was a scam when they didn't provide a name as to WHO they were calling for, and the message is demanding that you call them back "RIGHT NOW!"
Oh, hell no, chica.
Having worked for banks and knowing collection calls, no name, not legit.
These guys are probably the same group that calls claiming to be from "Windows technical support." They don't like me. I tell them, "No you're not. MICROSOFT doesn't call its clients, so STOP CALLING!"
The calls are finally slowing some.
I crank them back too by speaking foreign languages.
