I was getting non-stop calls for credit card reduction debt. I kept records of dates, times, names and phone numbers (use *69 for number info). When I got 7-8 of these I would file a complaint with the state attorney generals office here in WA. The first time they sent me a nice letter. Next complaint I filed, I pursued from the callers just who was offering this reduction........it was marketing from Equifax. I filed another complaint including more dates, times, names and numbers, even blocked ones just to complain and told them it was from Equifax marketing. Since I could not get ahold of Equifax directly, the ag's office sent a letter to them. Within 2 days, I had a letter from Equifax offering to remove me from the marketing and where to write. Next I got a form to sign and return. Did that. I still get random calls but nothing like before and when I get 6-7 of these, the complaint will be filed yet again until it stops. I think this may work with the computer caller Michael. Except the complaints will be filed both here in WA and in NY. Again, keeping the lists............it 's work but may be worth it, I hope!
After I picked up the phone, it then started ringing and a man answered. When I asked him why did someone from their number call me, at 3am this past Wednesday, he hung up.
I’ve blocked this number, so that I won’t receive anymore calls.
I spoke to Microsoft, they do not call anybody to fix problems. It is a scam. They want to enter your computer for passwords and banking information. Never give anyone permission to enter your computer!!!!
