We have an number/IP tracer software. This call is ultimately coming from unbelievably an Pakistani IP. My boyfriend couldn't believe it, so he called back on the speaker phone.
Heavy accent, poor English, difficult to understand. In the background was the Moslem call, Alla akdhar or something.
Fraud obviously. Moslem terrorists trying to raise funds probably.
You would think these scammers would at least hire an American that you could understand. But I guess the labor is much cheaper in Kublakazacstanovich! lol
I received the same information this morning but, that I would be arrested in 45 minutes. THIS NUMBER NEEDS TO BE DISPLAYED LIKE "most wanted lists!". Anyone know if this can be done?
After calling this number and told I would be arrested in 45 minutes and after googling the number and seeing SCAM, I called back and asked for the address so I could come in and work things out. The address they gave was 1200 Waters Place in The Bronx. There is a tax assistance office at that address, but after calling them to tell them SCAMMERS were using their address, they confirmed it definitely was a scam. The scammers google your number too, in case you call them back pretending to be FTC like I did and the f***** had the nerve to tell me he googled my number and I was not FTC. I said, yes just like you are not IRS. LOL but it really is not funny!
(mine was a female she didn't have an accent) I don't answer numbers I don't know but they called and left me a message that they we're calling to resolve a legal issue and to please call 347-321-8018 and then at the end u could here a little bit of annoyance because she got the answering machine she said "Please call back right Now!" and hung up.
