Received a call from this # again today. (347-344-5978) I did not answer it. The caller ID info. read V20513193000302. I don't know if that information would be helpful in tracking the original caller or not.
Call came to an elderly friend of mine. She said she had to pay 75 cents to find out who they were, with the *69. Guess she might not have a flat rate each month, maybe she should get that. However, she is on a tight budget. Anyway, she called me and asked if I could find out who they were. Did, it was this number. Told her how to get on the "Do Not Call" list, Federal Trade Commission number, #1-888-382-1222. You have to call them on the same line that you want the "Do Not Call" calls.
You would think the telephone companies would have an interest in this type of harassment and how to help really block nuisance calls or go after the people. The telephone companies are being used as a weapon against their own customers to harass the telephone companies customers. When customers have to unplug their phones, as I have had to do, to get some peace, we are not being allowed all the benefits of what we pay for each month...that is the use of the telephone. Unwanted calls take up our time, our patience, our sanity, our peace of mind and the telephone becomes an unwelcome, unwanted "tool" being used against us. I do not believe that is the telephone companies intended purpose for the usage of their services that is presently being used against their own paying customers who are unwillingly getting "unwanted guests" right in their homes to cause us (and others), needless and endless unrest.
Got a call this morning from this number. I work graveyard shift and I'm so tired of these telemarketers calling me non stop. Thank goodness for the "add to reject list" feature on my cell! Plus i got a free app that plays a "number is no longer in service" message automatically to my rejected numbers. Eventually they get the picture.
This number called and after 2 rings, they hung up, no message. It says unknown name. A legitimate company would have a business name on the ID. These types of calls make me wary of anyone that I do not know; so I do not talk to them; a waste of my time. If Id does not identify a friend or family, or a legitimate business, I do not answer the call.
