This IS a scam, they are constantly calling me, telling me I owe them money for a gym membership.(1) They claim to be a collection agency, however they DO NOT know my full name ? They are constantly calling me by my nickname, which isn't anywhere near close to my legal real name. If you were really a collection agency I would think you would know that and (2) I bought a home last year and believe me, my credit report was scrutinized 10 different ways. I don't owe anyone any money. and (3) I still belong to this gym, they have my credit card on file and bill me every month. If I owed them money, why wouldn't they just deduct it from my account ??
I have their number directed into voice mail on my cell phone, it's always interesting to go through and see how many times they call. You have to give them credit for persistence I guess.
According to spokeo, raj Chabria lives on Terry Avenue in Edison, New Jersey. I may decide to send my complaint letter about these calls directly to this address if these calls don't stop. The actual house # is not listed, but it wouldn't be too hard to find out.

A woman mumbled something uninteligible speaking too close to the microphone and asked for "William".
I asked "Who?" and still couldn't understand what she was saying. She apologized for the call, thanked me and hung up.
Sounds like they're fishing as they always ask for William but never have a last name. Why are they calling me? A collection call. Curious if they'll call tomorrow? I'll block their number eventually, but for now, I'm leaving it unblocked. I'm curious.
