Received six calls today that went to voicemail. Same message as those stated above. Figured out that it was a scam after reading these comments. Not going to waste time to blast their lame brains.
DO NOT EVER call them back!!!! the IRS will never call you on the phone. If you have a problem they will bombard you with letters and dead lines, and may even file against you after all of the notifications but they will NEVER call you on the phone
Same as Buds. Funny that I got another call from 'Bridgit' about my last chance to lower my interest rate just before this one. I have had other 'IRS' calls before and they are all foreign accent and threaten to take action. They are preying on the fears of the innocent. If the IRS REALLY wants you, they will let you know, but it WON'T be by a Robo Call.
Unfortunately, Do Not Call register does not work for scammers. Only suggestion is to buy a whistle or a horn and wait for a real voice to answer...then give them an earful!
