received a call this morning and guy with heavy accent said he was with IRS and my physical address was under federal investigation and i should call him back. What a [***].
I received the same VM as above. I am under investigation for a federal crime. A warrant has been issued for my arrest. I should call them back and have a nice day.
This is an IRS Scam people....Don't get suckered into anything they say. They are trying to get money out of innocent individuals. My neighbor fell for it. THE IRS NEVER ASKS FOR MONEY OVER THE PHONE!!!!!
I got a call from this number. I called back, a person with an accent answered and told me that in 2010, I had not paid my taxes, $2800 worth. They had come to conclusion that it was willful. He was on a decision-making team, and they had decided that it was willful, so they were going to hand down a decision to arrest me tonight. I asked what information they have. .. well ma'am that's sealed. I asked why I didn't get a letter. Oh, we sent you SEVERAL letters, but no one signed for them, so they came back. I asked what's in the paperwork, he couldn't tell me it wasn't in front of him.
I told him to please call the police to come get me and maybe they could explain it to me . He told me they would hold me for 72 hours and it would surely be horrible. I wanted to ask if he was threatening me, but I just said go ahead and send them and hung up. I have had to repay taxes before, they ALWAYS send you a letter, none of this threatening crap.
