Received a call with a VM from some Asian guy telling me I had to call him regarding my case, when I called he said Government Services Officer (???) speaking, when I asked him who he was and why he was calling he got quiet then after a minute of awkward silence hung up, called back and got a women who just went quiet, I explained that it is a FEDERAL Crime to impersonate a Federal Employee/officer, she hung up. You can go to the IRS or FBI websites to report them.

Just got the same call. Wouldn't give any info. I  also am aware the irs does not  call you. When I  asked him for proof of who he wad, he hung up

Got a call and a cut-off voicemail with same message about "address under federal investigation".  After suspicion and looking up the number, I learned that the IRS recommends asking for a name and badge number, then contacting them to see if that is legit IRS agent.
I called the number back and asked for that information.  The person told me "Office Davidson", and the badge number trailed off a bit.  When I asked a couple of times to clarify the badge number (couldn't hear/understand a couple letters), the guy told me, "F*** you", then hung up.

...IRS also asks that you report phishing attempts - I emailed them - [email protected] with subject line "IRS Phone Scam"

Left a voice mail - sounded pre-recorded. First part chopped off, but something  about a federal investigation. I have no idea what it's about. Probably a scammer.
