Received a voice message on my cell phone saying the IRS is suing me for back taxes of $2,400 from the year 2008-2013. The "officer" with the name "Robert Jackson" "badge number "IRM 12581" has an Indian accent. He said they will send an officer to my door to arrest me and take my property if I do not pay! They also claimed they attempted x 2 to contact me by showing up at my door and leaving a notice after waiting for 45 minutes. BULL****! DO NOT FALL VICTIM! The REAL IRS will contact you by mail if there is a problem with your taxes..Look up the IRS website, there are alot of scams. Be safe.
Got the call on my cell.5 minutes ago. Left a message. The same as the others. They filed a lawsuit against me. I have to call this number.... it is urgent. Call was from LA 213/141-5163
Same thing happened to me. I didn't pick up, but I did dial the number they were telling me to call. A heavily accented man answered the phone saying he was "Agent so and so, how can I help you." I hung up immediately. It felt totally scammy and shady.
Do NOT fall for this scam!!! I got a call from 213-141-5163 telling me to call back 347-418-0574. They said "I am an officer from the Internal Revenue Service and that they had a lawsuit against me and that this was my final warning." SCAMMERS!!!! THE IRS DOES NOT CALL YOU!!
