They have many complaints filed through the better business bureau. They are operating out of New York, Tennessee, Florida, Indiana, etc. They have tel-marketing companies working for them. They are very American.
Just like VB & RP, I received a call from this number today. She told me that I had been selected for a $100 Wal-Mart voucher and all I had to do to get it was to pay shipping and handling of $2.95. I asked how I was to pay and of course by debit or credit card. I told her that I wouldn't be giving out my info b/c I didn't recognize the number, hear the company she was calling from or remember signing up for a "voucher". She assured me that they were legitimate but I still said no. She hung up.
A different twist on the spam call recordings... making it sound as if *I* had called *them*. I of course hung up as soon as I heard the "$100 WalMart voucher" lie, and added the number to my reject list on my cell phone. What irritates me is that the recording might confuse a few seniors into thinking they'd made the call and to go along with the theft of their credit card info.
My phone did not ring, but the number 347-429-9147 showed up in my missed call list. They didn't leave a message either. My cell number is on Do Not Call List....telemarketers should be fined for these types of practices.
