Just rec'd a call from this number the name came up NWYRCYZN06 in NY. They asked for me and told me that they had a law suit against me. I told them we were in bankruptcy and I went to give them the case number and our attorney's name and they hung up. Before hanging up they said they this wasn't included in the bankruptcy.
Have received a call from a "James Carter" at this phone number with an Indian accent. He claims that I am involved in a legal matter and that I need to take care of this matter immediately. I do not recall the name of his company but there must be a large ring of these scammers because I have received several calls in the same manner from another phone number with a 704 area code. These people are scumbags. DO NOT fall for it. They are trying to get your personal information. I have tried telling them that I have reported them to my police department and hung up the phone in their ear but they continue to harrass me at my workplace. Anyone have any suggestions? Just do not give out any personal information...and alert your bank of the situation.
This guy called my friend. He says his name is Shawn Smith. He has an accent from India. He says that her friend is in grave trouble. We could not understand anything he said other than the number, which he repeated at least five times. We are not even sure of the name of the company from which he called.
The same number had called me explaining to me the very same thing. I think this is one big scam. So I put this number on the "Do not call list". Or I just don't answer the numbers I don't notice. I know this can be very annoying.
Received numerous call from this number and the lady who called my cell number stated I was in a lawsuit and they needed my bank information to pay off a debt. I DONT EVEN HAVE CREDIT CARDS. So I just ignored the calls because I think I would know if I was in a lawsuit. Anyway, Some guy called from this exact number to my work. NOW I'M PISSED!!! My boss took a message saying I needed to call him because I was in a lawsuit!! Like OMG how far will these people go. There has to be a way to stop these kind of calls!!
