Thank You guys for posting these. I received the same call but mine was from 347-875-9420. I was shaking and scared because I thought it was real. She said I would be arrested. Gave me her badge number and a case ID. Then she told me to listen to what she has to say and not interrupter her. Said that homeland security and other government officials were listening on the call. She said my taxes were filed under an address that I didnt reside at for like 7 years and even then it was my ex wife's house. I told her that is was impossible because I can prove that my taxes were filed under my current address. I argued that is was also impossible for me to be in trouble because I didnt receive any notices from the IRS. After I started yelling she hung up. People have enough problems these days and these idiots prey on our fear and get away with it.
the IRS is the most transparent government agency out there; I once got a check for 1.17 because of a slight mistake on my tax return. Also, they do everything by mail and will absolutely never call you unless you first contacted them, and they will never ever say that you are going to be arrested. I hate these scammers more than anything.
Total scam. Originates in either India or Pakistan. Block and ignore. DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!
