Got a message from this number 347-779-1098 saying I was approved for a $5000.00 loan and to call as soon as possible so that they can deposit the funds into my account. Approval code and everything.
Neither - they're nothing more than rotten, low-down off-shore scammers, trying to get you to pay for a non-existent loan - anyone who asks you to pay upfront to receive money is a scammer, or they call threatening people with lawsuits/arrests, etc in order to scare people into paying money they don't even owe.
Block the number(s). If you answer in error, tell them you know they're scammers, you've reported them to the authorities and they won't be getting a dime from you.
I just received a voice mail from a man with a foreign accent stating he was with the state police headquarters and their was a legal lawsuit and arrest warrant against my name. I needed to call attorney Nathaniel Edwards within the hour to prevent legal action. I fell for this years ago when I had an unpaid payday loan. I sent money via money gram. After approximately 6 months, I started getting calls again with the same threats for a loan I had already paid!
I received a call saying there was an arrest warrant against my name but yet he didn't say my name. I needed to call Nathanial Edwards before more legal action. I finally called to see who answer and it said Attorney General Nathanial Edwards. But yet he said he was a lawyer. I'm assuming this is a scam after reading all of these comments.
