They left an auto robot message : IRS filed lawsuit again you. Please call back this number 347-903-5896. I got called twice today. I didn't answer the phone because I know IRS only mail out the notification letter to you directly. It's a phone scam!! Save it to your phone list and put it on Block list.
Received the exact same "you owe the IRS money" scam. I called them back and acted like an old lady. While on the phone with them for 10 minutes, the Indian operator had me drive to the bank and withdraw $8,900 while keeping the phone in speaker mode in my pocket. He did ask me to drive slow. After withdrawing the money he kept telling me to wait. I kept hearing other operators in the background asking other callers for $8,900. I said "I have a question" and he said "I'm listening, I'm listening..." real slow. Then in my real voice I said "Listen you m**** f****r you call me again and I'll sue your a**" and hung up :)
I received the call form 347 903-5896 on 2/24/2016 at 7:30 am central time. I had heard about this scam in the ARRP monthly publication, but, the recorded call was so poorly done--stumbling over words and talking in a "mean, loud" voice, I don't think I would have taken it seriously. The IRS has a reputation, but, they are not mean and don't yell at customers!
