someone called from 512-854-9770 claiming they were from the Travis County Sheriff office stating there was a claim pending against me, when I advised that I didnt know what they were talking about he stated that they would just send and officer to come arrest me and disconnected the call. This gentlemen had a heavy foreign accent. I believe 100% this is a scam and will be notifying Travis County Sheriff Office.
Received a voice message from this number. The guy told me that I leaked Federal information and needed to call this number within 30 minutes, or go to near by police office to surrender. Otherwise, he will come to my house or my work place to arrest me.
I called the number back. Now the "Will County Sheriff Office" became IRS. The heavy foreign accent guy has a voice message said ... It is IRS. Leave your name and call back number ....
If you received this call back number, be careful! I can't file compliant to local police department because it is out of their judicial area.
Okay - this is a scam a "Deputy Jack Marshal" called stating he was a Deputy with the Travis County Sheriff office. The number on the line IS the Travis County Sheriff Office , however, this was not actually coming from the sheriff's office- the scammers had just used that to make it appear real. The "deputy" kept losing his neutral accent and slipped into Eastern Indian accent and you could hear echos and other voices with the same script. He threatened me with legal action and federal complaint against myself and legal entity - told me to turn myself in to the sheriff department within 30 mins of this call or call the officer Thomas O'Brien @ 347-979-9315 and see what is going on. If I failed to do that "Deputy Marshall" would send his cop over with a notarized legal complaint to my house or place of employment.
I checked the 347-979-9315 on several sites and found numerous complaints of harassment and threats of "police" or "tax issues".
