This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call list in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by refusing to provide an address or phone number when asked. They claim to be the United Stated Government Grants Department and that the victim has been awarded a $9,000 US Government grant. This is clearly not the case, as receiving this kind of grant requires applying for such a grant... Do not provide this scammer with any personal or financial information.
A friend has been repeatedly called from the 360-111-0000 number with same scenario as the other posts.
My friend is mentally challenged & thought it was true & has answered the phone several times & talked to them.
Is there a government entity we can report this to?
Hi! Are you a Network marketer? If you are I think your number is being sold? And that's how these Indian people are getting your phone number to try to scam you! I've done some Network morphine here and there and that's how I think my number is being sold! People think you're desperate for money cuz you do network marketing so you'll fall for anything!
OMG, I can't believe that I'm getting a free $9000 grant from the US. I didn't even apply for it. All I had to do was pay for the western union transaction and I get it. I'm so excited, I can do a lot with this $$.

Called me to say I am able to collect $9000 from the IRS. Gave me another number to call with a code and want me to give them my bank account info. Are they crazy? I listened to their whole spiel for my amusement and he really though I was going to call that other number. Blocked from my phone. I am so tired of getting these types of calls.

I keep receiving these calls, different number. I block the new number every time they call. It's the same as the stories above. They say they are from the us government and I've been approved for a one time 9,000 dollar grant. I can not get the calls to stop and it's getting really annoying.
