He said his name was Steve Martin. He had an accent like from India. He said he was calling regarding the enforcement by the U.S. Treasury. Ignoring this second warning would be federal offense and would go before a magistrate, judge or grand jury if I did not respond. He did not use my name at all.
Man with with heavy foreign accent who claims to be "Steve Martin", demanding I contact him immediately about US Treasury matter. An obvious scam. I have blocked calls from that number.
I just received a call from here and the guy was demanding i pay them for something that has already been resolved. I had gotten my boyfriend on the phone necause he said he would pay once we got back on, the guy on there wasn't making any sense, so my boyfriend asked what his mother's address was and tha man just said mine but said austin, tx. 1)I've never been there 2) my mother stays in dallas and his in California 3) he wanted us to goto walmart and wire it.
Don't rule out the young in this scam, because im 27 and they almost got me. It could happen to anybody young and old
This number called from Longview WA. the number was 360-200-6817 with a computer voice c;aiming the IRS was filing a law suit against me. It told me to call 360-200-6817 to settle this issue. I laughed cuz these calls are becoming very common.
Left a message on my work cell phone saying after the audit there were unpaid and unreported tax fraud issues. This was an automated recording asking for an immediate call back. Yeah riiiiiigght!
