received an automated call in regard to serious criminal allegations levied against me. Stated that an arrest warrant would be issued, I called the number, asked who he was, he stated he was an IRS agent, badge number IRN9071, it was a noisy call center (in the back ground) I hung up.
Wow, very interesting. I had the same call but it was left on our Answering machine. I had to listen to it twice because it was not very well spoken. Arrest warrant ha lol what a scam.
Received on landline Fri. 09-11-2015, 9:22 AM from 'Longview, WA. 360-200-1725.
ROBO-call left message -> IRS, will be arrested, blah-blah-blah.
This is second one this week, but using different locations & phone #'s
* First, IRS will NEVER make calls like this.*
Second, IF you ever DO get a call from IRS, it will give a toll free 800 #.
DO NOT answer calls from numbers you don't recognize.
If you answer or call them back, they know your # is active & will continue to call & pass your # to others who will also call.
Start screening calls, do not just pick up, then GOOGLE first before going any farther.
When you see all this scammer info posted, then block the #'s.
BBB has nothing to do with these callers & can do nothing about them.
Caller claimed to be IRS representative. Stated I was being suited by the IRS and if I didn't comply and make a payment immediately I was going to arrested. Really? When I pressed for more information, he hung up the phone.
