Caller claimed to be IRS representative. Stated I was being suited by the IRS and if I didn't comply and make a payment immediately I was going to arrested. Really? When I pressed for more information, he hung up the phone.
Today I recieved a call from 360-200-1725 . I wasn't home when they called. Whoever it was left a nasty message saying they were from the IRS ,there was 4 fradulent criminal alligations against me and that I better called them immediately or I would be arrested. Last week, I got a call from that person using a different number saying that I was preapproved for a payday loan.
Like I told Holly above I got a call earlier from these people. That guy said the same tihing to me like he did to you. The exact same phrases and words.
You can solve that problem by turning off your machine if it's a landline and you can be without it. No answer of any kind, no bogus, threatening messages.
Block the number? The service provider only allow for between 10 and 25 numbers to be blocked. There are hundred's of numbers, if not thousands of numbers that needs to be blocked, so as to silence these scam calls. As such, as you block a number, another blocked number becomes unblocked because of this limitation of 10 to 25 numbers maximum.
Got the same call! Said IRS, called back to ask who it was, t hung up and it was an Indian accent. Big time scam. IRS sends out duplicate letters and a person calls no automated voice think.
