I received a voicemail from this number that states, 'The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information on this case file, please call immediately on our department number 360-200-4562" 10 minutes prior to this call, I had received another voicemail exactly like this from another number 425-287-6073.
This was same message I recvd. Worked for police dept several years and know a scam when I heard it.Be careful, the IRS never asks for money over the phone. Give out absolutely no personal info.
I got the same call yesterday Saturday at 8 o'clock in the morning and my disabled clients house they had all of her personal information her address or date of birth or I call the local police department they suggested that I call the IRS
The call is bogus because the IRS does not call anyone "out of the blue"
However, you have to be on guard constantly because of possible identity theft or someone filing for a refund from the IRS using your information (which is a kind of identity theft).
